    Hi,

    I’m having trouble backing up my site, the manual back up now button works but the scheduled backups every day don’t seem to. I want to backup remotely to my google drive, I seem to have connected it and it says I’m authenticated. I can see a folder in my google drive called Updraft Plus but there’s nothing in it. I just did a back-up today, it had succeeded and was complete, but it also said ‘No remote despatch: user chose no remote backup service’. In expert settings I have Use the server’s SSL certificates ticked and I’m using Version 1.14.11 of Updraft Plus. Still there’s nothing in my Google Drive.

    I’m not very computer literate, can you help me?

  • (Also, when I’ve authenticated my Google drive and come back to my settings in WordPress, Google drive is unclicked and it says If you choose no remote storage, then the backups remain on the web-server. This is not recommended (unless you plan to manually copy them to your computer), as losing the web-server would mean losing both your website and the backups in one event.)

    Hi Cate,

    Can you make sure that the Google Drive storage is selected and is enabled?

    For us to check, please could you send us a copy of the latest backup log? This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.

    The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Yes Google Drive is selected and enabled, but each time I go to settings it becomes unselected and I have to click the Google Drive icon and below it says you are already authenticated. It also says ‘After you have saved your settings (by clicking ‘Save Changes’ below), then come back here once and click this link to complete authentication with Google Drive’. I’ve done that several times and it says it has been enabled correctly but nothing ever seems to go to my Google Drive.

    I have the same issue. “Save changes” does not respond in either Chrome or FF; wiping settings did not wipe anything so I can’t start over. Advice, please?

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay. The thread appears o have been buried by the forum.

    Please could you open your browser developer tools (CTRL+SHIFT+J or F12 in most browsers), and open the ‘console’ tab?

    Then, please could you attempt to save your UpdraftPlus settings?

    Please could you send us a copy of any errors or messages that appear in the developer console?
