    @alessioroma We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

    Can you please let us know what you are using to translate the different language versions of your site?

    Also, are you able to provide an example URL of one of the Google search queries where you are seeing this occur, so that we can check into this further?

    @alessioroma Thanks for your reply.

    I checked on the Google search link you provided, however for me it showed the meta description in Italian (see image here).

    Google will frequently change the exact results of a query depending on what it thinks is the most useful results for that particular user. Locale is certainly a factor in what language it displays, but it can also be based off your region settings for example. You can find more information on Google’s support page here as well.

    Hello devnihil
    Yesterday after posting this, ive changed language from us-US to it-It with a plugin, and ive also made the international target into italian, could it be the reason for you watching this? problem is that the meta title you watch is in english while the meta description in italian that makes a nosense, if you were not in google.it you should have watched both in english.
    Personally i still watch that in english from google.it, and it makes me frustrated.
    ive no other option to add a link of a forum in which i was looking for answer: you please have to focus on the fourth last comment, made by an italian connecting from USA who’s noticing something preatty wrong on my codes.
    The english home page declares it-IT but the description is english, further more from the same query, from a english browser and from an italian one google does give 2 different results. He has noted also that the model of the english page redirects to the italian one.
    Last, ive changed meta descriptions for that Melsheimer, and it is completely different from these 2…dont know waht it is happening.
    TranslatePress the plugin im using for translating the website asked me to disable ad add on that can create conflicts, in 2 weeks it is supposed to notice the difference, but they are not sure this oroblem can be related..

    as you can see a big problem here, what do you think? thanks for helping me and for your availability!!

    Hi,

    This looks more to be an issue of your chosen multilingual plugin, rather than a support issue for the actual Yoast SEO plugin. As mentioned previously, there are tons of different factors as to why your website would appear in different languages, depending on the locale as well as the location of the searcher.

    We have several articles on international SEO and the usage of hreflang tags that we would like to direct you to – https://yoast.com/hreflang-ultimate-guide/ & https://yoast.com/what-is-international-seo/

    Otherwise, we do recommend contacting the TranslatePress team for further assistance on this matter.
