 * Hello, I am new to amp. I installed your plugin to create amp pages. They are
   currently indexed with valid structured data, according to GSC. But when I test
   Google-search my pages with keyword from mobile phone, Google shows the link
   that starts with Google.com/s/amp before the actual URL. Those links are not
   responding. Can someone tell me what I did wrong?
 * Thank you for your help!
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fgoogle-com-s-amp%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * forgot to add. I selected “transitional” and
 * “Serve all templates as AMP regardless of what is being queried.” is checked.
 * My site isn’t made for mobile users. It’s an intentional choice. But I installed
   your plugin because Google stopped indexing my pages saying they aren’t mobile
   friendly. So I chose “transitional,” but maybe I should uncheck “serve all templates…”??

 * [@mf01](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mf01/) thanks for your topic and
   the details.
 * > Google shows the link that starts with Google.com/s/amp before the actual URL.
 * This URL structure is from the [AMP viewer](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/about-amp#about-google-amp-viewer)
   which serves the page from the AMP cache from Google Search.
 * With that said, when I visit the AMP version of the URL directly on your site
   I’m also seeing the page is attempting to load:
 * [https://www.interactiongreen.com/what-and-how-of-zen-design/?amp](https://www.interactiongreen.com/what-and-how-of-zen-design/?amp)
 * This might be the root issue. Your theme or a plugin could be involved.

 * In the meantime, it may also be good to check if the site renders in `Reader
   mode`. This mode uses the plugin’s own AMP templates. It could help pinpoint
   if the theme is involved.

 * Thank you Renee,
 * I just sent the info through the “AMP Plugin Escalations” form. Did I do it correctly?

 * [@mf01](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mf01/) quick follow up that you submitted
   just fine. Just to check- did you experience the same issue with `Reader mode`
   enabled? I’ll investigate further with similar theme and plugins.

 * With reader mode, it shows the tile, the slider I use in the header area, author,
   date, category and tags. It’s only showing the header area I guess? There’s no
   link to the actual content. Thanks! If you can test, the reader mode is on right
   now.

 * [@mf01](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mf01/) thanks for checking! I see
   Reader mode is displaying like you mentioned. It looks like the core content
   is missing. As this seems theme-related, I’ll test with Enfold (I have a copy),
   so I’ll try it out and report back if I experience the same so we can troubleshoot
   further.

 * [@mf01](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mf01/) just a follow up on testing
   the Enfold theme:
 * 1) For `Transitional mode`, it looks like the _Page Preloading_ option under
   _Enfold > Theme Options_ is involved ([screenshot](https://jmp.sh/yYoE266)).
   Once toggled off, the AMP page renders. Feel fee to try this on your site to
   see if the AMP version displays.
 * 2) For `Reader mode`, when using the _Advanced layout builder_ I experience the
   issue with the main content not loading on the page. With the default editor
   the content renders.
 * From what I can tell, Enfold does not state specific AMP support currently. In
   some cases, theme and plugin authors will need to make changes to the way they
   implement functionality and design on AMP posts/pages to meet the specification(
   see [amp.dev](https://amp.dev/about/websites/) and [amp-wp.org](https://amp-wp.org/documentation/getting-started/)
   for more)
 * Consider reaching out to the Enfold team to inquire about improving AMP compatibility
   if you’d like to use these features your non-AMP and AMP posts/pages. We also
   have a list of AMP-ready plugins and themes on the [ecosystem page](https://amp-wp.org/ecosystem/).

 * Thank you,
 * 1) For Transitional mode, it looks like the Page Preloading option under Enfold
   > Theme Options is involved (screenshot). Once toggled off, the AMP page renders.
   Feel fee to try this on your site to see if the AMP version displays.
 * This doesn’t work for me. It shows header, like when with Reader mode. It’s better
   than no response, but not content. I tried to delete cache but the same result.
 * 2) With Reader mode, I cannot create pages using default editor…
 * So here’s my question, If other peoples phones are like yours, and can retrieve
   contents like yours, I can buy some time to ask Enfold to fix the error.
 * But if it’s like my phone, I need to leave my site virtually inaccessible until
   Enfold can find solutions. I would almost disable amp for now so that people
   can access my pages, but it’s not a good idea to disable amp pages now that Google
   indexed them right? Would it confuse Google bots?
    What’s your opinion?
 * Thank you for working on my case. I appreciate it!

 * [@mf01](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mf01/) thanks for the update and
   I can understand your concerns.
 * > This doesn’t work for me. It shows header, like when with Reader mode. It’s
   > better than no response, but not content. I tried to delete cache but the same
   > result.
 * That’s interesting, I’m getting a slightly different experience. The top header
   slideshow doesn’t render, but the content does on your AMP URL:
    [https://www.interactiongreen.com/what-and-how-of-zen-design/?amp](https://www.interactiongreen.com/what-and-how-of-zen-design/?amp)
 * Video: [https://recordit.co/HVAk0hmhLB](https://recordit.co/HVAk0hmhLB)
 * This is consistent with turning off JavaScript on the non-AMP URL. Note the AMP
   specification does not allow custom JavaScript, so this is being removed by the
   plugin automatically.
 * > With Reader mode, I cannot create pages using default editor…
 * Totally understand. This is not an elegant solution to keep the desired look
   and feel of the non-AMP pages and posts too. There would need to be some AMP
   compatibility with the builder Enfold ships with.
 * > It’s not a good idea to disable amp pages now that Google indexed them right?
   > Would it confuse Google bots?
   >  What’s your opinion?
 * You can deactivate and remove the plugin and the URLs will be re-indexed in time.
   You can additionally use this mini plugin that will redirect visits to your AMP
   URLs to your non-AMP URLs until the re-index is complete (installation instructions
