Google Calendar Plug In

  • I have tried just about all the plugins for Google Calendar and all have been buggy, so I set it up using the native RSS to sidebar widget.

Problem is that it never seems to update.

It shows one calendar entry, but never uodates when the actual google cal is updated. I know the feed works, I can see the feed change when I examine the contents of it.

    1) any ideas what that fails

    2) can you suggest a plug in that actually works with google calendar

I see similar questions all over the forum with no answers but the topic is marked closed for some reason.

    Thanks

I’m not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish with your Google Calendar and WordPress but have you tried the Stout Google Calendar plugin? This is one we created that allows for easy color customization and option management from within the WordPress admin. You just need to have a shared Google calendar and grabs its embed code to make it work.

My question is how to insert the php-code in the iframe-code?

    <iframe src=”https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?showTitle=0&showNav=0&showDate=0&showPrint=0&showTabs=0&showCalendars=0&showTz=0&mode=DAY&dates=20101220/20101220& … etc.`

What would each time don’t change by hand the date I would like to insert a PHP-code:
    … dates=<?php date(‘Ymd’) ?>/<?php date(‘Ymd’) ?> & …

In this form does not work 🙁
