I have a client with an active user population who use Google Calendars to keep everyone up to date. I already have the calendars displaying on pages and sidebars, depending on where you are on the site. That is working flawlessly.
What my client is now asking about is this: if a user creates a Google Calendar event, can it automatically become a WP post? What they envision is adding enough detail to the calendar event that this could become a readable post.
I considered if there is a way to grab an RSS feed off the calendar and somehow parse out an event…but that is beyond my skill set.
Any thoughts? Lots of info about putting the calendar in various forms in various places on the site. I have not found anything about automatically creating a post from a GC event.
Thanks in advance for chewing this through.
