 * I tried a valid, enabled Google API key for a javascript map and I received this
   error:
    “The Google Maps API server rejected your request.”
 * and then I tried a key for a static map and got this error.
 * “The Google Maps API server rejected your request. The provided API key is expired.”
 * I regenerated the key, but it still didn’t work. I can’t see the map.
 * Please advise.

 * Hi, kdcpelt
 * Sorry for late reply.
 * There could be many reasons. Like-
       1.  API rate limit exceed.
    - 1. Incorrect API key configuration.
    - 1. API Key may take up to 15 minutes to take effect.
 * You can read about rate limit here-
    [https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/usage](https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/usage)
 * Make sure your domain is whitelisted for the API Key. If possible generate API
   key from this link –
    [https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key#get-an-api-key](https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key#get-an-api-key)
 * Is possible please share website link you are working on, so that i can debug
   more.
 * Thanks.

 * Hi ankurk91,
    I too have been away from the project. I’m unclear how I could
   have reached the “API rate limit” (I’m not an expert with API configuration).
   I know that I waited more than 15 minutes and it still hasn’t taken effect. The
   error message I get is “The Google Maps API server rejected your request. The
   provided API key is expired.” However, I thought that once the key is generated,
   it doesn’t expire.
 * To double check, I generated a new key. I believe it is whitelisted and I set
   restrictions for only on site (“*.uniontavernworcester.com/*”) and I don’t think
   there is any way I could be exceeding the limit. Here is the site where the map
   is supposed to appear. The site where this is being used isn’t live yet. What
   information may I provide that would help you?
 * Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!
