    Hi

I’m sure you know already that Google have announced that they won’t be supporting noindex directives in the robots.txt file. I just wanted to check whether this has any implications for Yoast wordpress SEO plugin. I’m assuming that you already use the method suggested by Google of adding noindex to the robots meta tags.

Thanks for all your work on the plugin!

Yoast SEO does not automatically write to the robots.txt file.

We do offer a feature where you can manually edit the file so if you’ve manually added noindex to the robots.txt file, please manually remove them to align with the new method.

    Have a fantastic weekend!
