# Google Analytics Source Tracking

 * Hi,
    We need to accurately track all traffic sources to our woocommerce website.
 * If a visitor clicks a product link in Google Search such as:
 * [http://www.ourwebsite.com/product/snow-peak-wool-sweater/](http://www.ourwebsite.com/product/snow-peak-wool-sweater/)
 * but the page has been set to draft (due to being out of stock) and a redirect
   set to the brand page:
 * [http://www.ourwebsite.com/brand/snow-peak/](http://www.ourwebsite.com/brand/snow-peak/)
 * Is this recorded as organic traffic in google analytics? or does the redirection
   lose the source. If so is this recorded as direct traffic?

 * A redirect happens instead of that page being loaded. If you are using trackers
   that depends on JavaScript to run then they won’t run on the source page (it 
   isn’t loaded). They will run on the target page (which is loaded).
