Thanks for reaching out. If you have Analytics tracking code on your private pages (which would be the case if using Site Kit to place the snippet) then these pages can be tracked. If you’re counting logged in users within your Analytics configuration then when you visit these pages or posts as an administrator these can also be tracked.

You’ll notice also these pages/posts are also visible from within your Analytics dashboard on the Analytics web interface. This is not specific to Site Kit.

If you’re looking to restrict the pages/posts being reported there are various methods, including applying a view. You’ll find the below Analytics Help Center article has more information on using filters and views.

For any further questions in relation to Analytics specific configurations or views please refer to the Analytics Help Center.

Hi @jamesosborne, I usually give troubles to you by creating topics like these I am really sorry about this, actually, my concern is the page views go up drastically.

SITE KIT has a feature that clearly states :

    Excluded from Analytics
    Logged-in users

    under settings > analytics

now even I tried IP filter, Hostname, Wp-Admin Filter Nothing Works

I should now use localhost to create things in preview and then post.
    Nothing works.

The “exclude logged in users” feature will still place the Analytics tracking snippet on your site, meaning they are eligible be tracked, whether there are visits or not. It’s just your own visits as a logged in user that will not be tracked. If you find page views are higher than expected you can troubleshooting this from within Analytics, or by using the Analytics Help Center. Site Kit simply inserts the Analytics tracking snippet on your site, it doesn’t contribute to additional page visits. You’ll find the same results if you choose to implement Analytics without Site Kit.

Note that it’s possible there can also be additional plugins or services on your site that can contribute to additional visits.

In relation to filter configurations please refer to the Analytics Help Center. We don’t provide support for filter configuration within Analytics.
