Google Analytics problem?

    Could there be a conflict between this plugin and Google Analytics?

    We installed this plugin on one of our sites yesterday and started to notice that traffic displayed on Google Analytics dropped significantly on the site.

    This continued this morning.

    Since the only thing that changed on the site in the last couple of days was the installation of this plugin we decided to deactivate the plugin.

    Almost immediately the traffic picked up in Google Analytics.

    We are not using the Google Analytics plugin. We just inserted the Google Analytics code into the footer.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

    That seems very strange. There’s nothing the plugin could do to interfere with the analytics javascript that I can think of. Could you re-activate the plugin and check again that it’s repeatable? Also were the numbers on analytics much lower than any other day or just compared to the previous day?
