This plugin is not compatible with Google Analytics 4, and all new GA properties now use this type of container. Are you going to update the plugin to be able to link to GA4 properties?

I am having the same problem. I can’t connect my client’s website to his Google Analytics property for the site since it was created after the upgrade to GA4. It will be good to hear an announcement of when this feature will be available, but for now he needs to see his analytics, so I’m going to have to install a different plugin for him to use.

I really loved this plugin and would love to see it become compatible with GA4 so I can continue to use it

Hi,

The GA4 API is in the early stages, so it’s not recommended to implement it now:
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/config/admin/v1
