• Good Afternoon,

I’m trying to get my wife’s site verified for adsense but it keeps failing with the error “domain ownership”

The domain is registered in her name with her gmail address, have an analytics account account, have verified the account in webmaster tools, added the adsense paragraph in a post, widget, and directly to the source code.

Yet it still fails with this error.

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.

    Issues:

What could be the issue and/or a possible resolution? The domain is http://shatteredearth.org and you can see where I had added the code directly to the source.

    Any help or information is

  • What method is adsense using to verify ownership?

It may be different from Google Analytics

The only option it gives for verification is to add a paragraph to the source.

<p>This post confirms my ownership of the site and that this site adheres to Google AdSense program policies and Terms and Conditions: ca-pub-#######5 </p>

    Have you asked AdSense?

yeah and have gotten no response from the general support forum.

For the time I created an add on MY adsense account and added the domain there but this is only a temporary solution.

That sounds like an AdSense problem, not WordPress…

I would advise against applying for an account for a site and running an ad for a different account on that site. I’m not sure how Google would view that.

There is no such restriction so far as your site/ ads run on it do not violate AdSense policies and terms.
