I keep getting the message “Earnings at risk – One or more of your sites does not have an ads.txt file. Fix this to avoid severe impact to your revenue.” in both google adsense and my wordpress account. However, I have already added an ads.txt file with my google adsense publisher ID to my wordpress account. I have the Advanced Ads plug-in and entered my publisher ID and also tried to create an ads.txt file that included the publisher ID. I’m also getting this “earnings at risk” error message in wordpress. My account is linked, but I’m not sure how to resolve this issue. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

    Hi audrasappetite,

    thanks for reaching out.

You should be good. Google needs some time to detect the file and Advanced Ads just imports their warnings. Please close the warning in your WordPress dashboard. The one in your Google AdSense account should also vanish soon.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

I have exactly the same issue! I fixed it the same way as audrasappetite did but I still have no earnings. Do you have any other idea how I can get back on tracks displaying ads?

PS: It is already some days ago that I fixed the ads.txt (even though there was nothing wrong) but no improvement yet.

    Best regards,

    Hi Thomas,

Thank you so much for getting back with me; I really appreciate it. I noticed that now the message is gone in my Google adsense account. It took over 24 hours (almost 48) for it to update which is why I messaged you.

I do have another question if you don’t mind. I apologize in advance if you aren’t the best person to ask. However, my “balance” in Google adsense hasn’t updated/changed in over a week, even though my estimated earnings in just today alone are higher than the “balance.” It sounds like the balance is what I will actually be paid. And I’m not clicking on my own ads or anything like that. So I’m wondering if I will be paid the estimated earnings or the balance?

    Thank you,

    Audra

    Hi Audra,

I don’t mind you asking at all, but this is indeed one of few questions asked in our forum where I have to pass. I have not the slightest idea.

Well, I might have found something in the AdSense product forum: https://support.google.com/adsense/thread/5328161?hl=en

If this is not it then there is the place to ask.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi @audrasappetite

my 2 cents to your questions: I think the “balance” only updates at the end of the month and then all earnings are summed up.

    Best regards
