In general seems to do a fine job although it has quite a few quirks. Some examples are:

SEO analyzer will flag the ‘missing robot.txt’ as an error, reducing your SEO rank. However, the settings section says ‘don’t create robot.txt, leave this section blank and let Rankmath handle it’. Go figure.

Their 404 monitor will check for invalid URLs like https yourdomain dot com/https yourdomain dot com and flag it as 404 – like a thousand times a day.

The Analytics keeps going kapoot asking me to ‘reconnect manually with Google ….’.

The ranking for each post is not clear – sometimes you take care of all the items, all green checks, and still it will be 90/100 and no indication of what to do to get 100 (unless you use the additional paid AI feature)…..

Lastly, my page’s visibility on Google doesn’t seem to be getting much better no matter how good my SEO ranking is….

    Hello @raghuvamshi,

Thank you so much for your feedback.

Allow us to address your concerns.

    1) If you leave the robots.txt field blank in our plugin, Rank Math will virtually create the default robots.txt file so in the SEO Analyzer, it shouldn’t show the “missing robots.txt” error. Please visit your website’s robots.txt file and confirm this (https://yourwebsite.com/robots.txt). If you see it working properly and not missing, head over to Rank Math → Status & Tools → Database Tools and clear the SEO Analyzer Data. Once done, re-run the SEO Analyzer and you should see the updated test.

    2) If you see your homepage URL in the 404 monitor, it means that some bots are trying to access this URL: https://yourdomain.com/yourdomain.com

This is because all of the 404 errors are relative to the homepage, so you can safely ignore those and go about your day.

If the error was on your homepage, you would see only a forward slash in the log /.

Please note that we only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated. You can try to fix these errors by following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/

To block out access to bots, you can use a service like Cloudflare (https://www.cloudflare.com/). Cloudflare is a web security and performance service that can protect your site from malicious bots and attacks.

    3) We need further details about your issue with the analytics connectivity. Can you please let us know how often Google Analytics disconnects from our plugin?

    4) To get to the perfect score, you’ll have to include Content AI which you may check on this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-use-content-ai/#research-keywords

If Content AI is not applicable to you, you can disable this test by adding the following filter on your website: https://rankmath.com/kb/disable-seo-content-tests/#content-ai-test

    5) While a good SEO ranking is important, visibility on Google can depend on several factors such as competition, search intent, your SEO title/description and recent algorithm updates. It might take some time for results to improve, but we can help you review your setup for any optimization opportunities. Feel free to share more details about your site, and we’ll assist you further.

    Looking forward to helping you.
