Good Theme for Photographer? (5 posts)

I am about to start designing a website for a photographer. Please note: she is not a photo blogger. She wants to use WP as a CMS, a way to display an online photo portfolio.

Any suggestions on a good theme for this task?

    Thanks in advance.

Portfolio Press, it comes in black and white. Google for it and you should find it easily. Also googling for wordpress photography portfolio should bring some good results. Or you could also just use a standard, very sparsely designed WP and the NextGen Gallery plugin to create albums/galleries for her.

Have you looked at using Gallery instead? There is also a plugin that lets you embed Gallery in WordPress:

i agree with iridiax, Gallery is a better photo tool because it allows much more protection for photos. i have used it in the past and it works great. plus, it allows pro photo peeps to sell their work, if theyre looking to do that.

Here's an interesting list: Photoblog Themes for WordPress

I've also used Coppermine Gallery, which is similar to Gallery and works pretty good.
