[resolved] Good theme compatible with events manager (8 posts)

    Hi All,

I just installed events manager to my website that uses the spacehead "allure" theme (http://www.spaceheadconcepts.com/allure/), which is a very nice responsive theme with lots of customization options. Unfortunately, the theme doesn't seem to be compatible with EM, causing problems in a lot of functions.

So I'll need to find a new theme. Does anyone has recommendations on a good theme that's compatible with EM? What I hope to get is a responsive theme, with a full-width homepage graphic capability.

    Thanks!
    James

in theory any well written theme will work with EM. I don't have a specific set of recommendations atm

I can recommend Suffusion theme, it works perfectly with EM, and it is responsive

Suffusion is free, and has a very good support forum

There are several responsive themes at http://www.mojo-themes.com/ that I've used with EM.

    Thanks all!

Hi Marcus, the developer of the theme I was using suspect it is a jquery conflict, and asked me to check which version of jQuery the plug-in works best in. Would you know the answer to this question?

    Thanks
    James

which version of jQuery the plug-in works best in

ALWAYS the one your WP version ships with! They shouldn't be including their own jQuery libray, that's naughty.

They're not alone, lots of themes do this, and I wrote a post about it - http://msyk.es/blog/prevent-jquery-wordpress-theme/

    hmmmm....

The jquery-updated didn't work though, and yes I see the theme includes its own jquery library.

I guess I'll just get another theme then.

    Thanks!
