I used the basic plug-in expanded with add-ons for e-mailing reports and gathering detailed IP information from IP2Location. This last part was an effort setting up, as the information did not show up. After a few weeks of back-and-forth mailing with SlimStat, IP2Location and the hosting provider, it turned out to be a simple setting in the plug-in.
After that, the information was there, but it appeared it could not be added to the report, due a an imposed restriction by IP2Location. On the SlimStat website however, it was clearly stated that the add-on seamlessly integrates with reporting, suggesting that it would work. This is a disappointment. Other than that, the SlimStat support crew have been very helpful and swift to respond. In all, quite satisfied. They promised to change the text on the add-on page of their website to avoid confusion for others.

IP2location has replied to my question regarding storage of the detailed IP data. They intend to include it in their next release.

So, does that mean that they are going to modify their terms and conditions to allow this? Will storage be allowed on the free version? It would be interesting to know the details of their plan. Please keep us posted if you know more.

They have gotten back to me now, saying that I should contact you about the storage, as they did not build the plugin….
Might I suggest that you contact them? My ticket number at IP2location.com is TFU-658-60824
Perhaps referring to that will speed things up.
