Support » Plugin: Custom Query Blocks » Good start, but without Fields custom posts are useless

  • This is a great start – love the options to change the look of the block. Unfortunately, without the ability to display the custom field information that is the reason to build a custom post type, it’s kind of useless.

    Hey Kate

It is not fair toward the developer to give a rating based on features one wishes the plugin has. It is more helpful to suggest a feature either here on the support forum or on Github: https://github.com/ronalfy/post-type-archive-mapping/issues Then it will be up to the developer on how to proceed.

Do remember that this product is free. One can also pay the developer to develop a feature one feel is missing.

I just want to make sure that people know that it’s not an option that’s available with this plugin.

In version 3.0.0, there is now custom field support. It supports regular post meta and also Advanced Custom Fields. The only caveat is the 3.0 version only supports WordPress 5.3.

@kschwend I apologize for the delay. It took me a LONG time to figure out how to get custom fields to work with Gutenberg. If you can try again, I’d appreciate it.
