    Hello

This is my first post here, so sorry If this has been asked before. If it has I must’ve read over it.

Anyway, I have to build a basis, online accessible library catalog.
I have a site. I’ve installed WordPress and Weblibrian.
I’ve made an Admin account and a Librian account.
    I’ve managed to a test-book in the back-end.

But now I’ve got two questions.

What WordPress them do I use? (I know have the standard Twenty Three (of something) but screens about Weblibrian show a different theme. Which such I use. I want it to be very clear and sober. Doesn’t have to look ‘pretty’. It’s meant for internal use by mijn organisation, not for the general public. So it doesn’t have to look pretty. Just be sober, clean.

Second and most important question is how do I get to back-end information to the front end, so users can browse the content?
    I’ve failed to find that.

OK, as to theme, that is pretty much a subjective choice and I really have no answer. You might get a better answer by posting in a more general forum section. The WebLibrarian itself is not partitularly dependent on the theme you select (at least as far as I know).

About giving site visitors access to the book (or whatever) catalog/database, please read the PDF documentation. There are several short codes that can be placed into either a page (or post) that is visible to web site visitors.

Ok, thanks I’ll read the PDF.

I’m currently just using the standard WordPress theme. But I can always change that at later date? And worry about content first? Or I’ll just use the current one and see if they like. All the better than eh 🙂

Sorry if I posted in the wrong section. I just starting not so long ago.
I’m a librarian, but a my job these things are pre-installed ofcourse.

I got the search on the front page working, so thanks 🙂

But my friend works with a small non profit organisation and they’d like that have a library system. That’s affordable 🙂

So Adlib Pro and such weren’t really an option 🙂

I’m am missing a field for multiple authors? Or did I miss that?

Yes, you can change the theme and many themes have various configuration options, like color scheme, menu styles, number of columns, headers, footers, and so on.

There isn’t a field for mulitple authors, but you can fill in author names with ‘ands’ or with commas — eg “Smith, Jones and Doe, John” or some such.
