Good plugin turned bad

    Like many others, I was disappointed to see LINKALPHA turned on and not allowing the user to disable it. Very poor from the developer imo.

    The older versions work just as well so best sticking to the older versions if you can’t find an alternative that you like.

    That mandatory Link Alpha sharing is Not Cool™ but in 5 minutes I could not get the widget to work on my test install.

    Per the Plugin Guidelines links and “Powered By” need to be off by default.

    10. The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a “powered by” link) without explicitly asking the user’s permission. Any such options in the plugin must default to NOT show the link.

    Let’s see how/if the author replies.
