Good Plugin – Could Easily Be Better

Before going live with our website we looked at a few different alternatives and installed Profile Grid because it included the Member Messaging option without additional charges or upgrades. Everything works great except the developers lack of resolution with correcting a formatting issue with the email verification sent to new members. All of the formatting in that email is stripped. The developer duplicated the problem and reported that the most recent release fixed the issue but it has not. The other issue with this plugin is that if you use the first name, last name and username on a registration form another free plugin supplied by the developer is required to avoid the registrants full name being displayed in the member search page. The only way to avoid that is to use a text field for the first and last name instead of the presets included with the add field option for the first and last name. I would hope that the formatting of the e-mails is improved in future releases and the verification email could be edited in the ProfileGrid Email Template interface. Other then those issues this is a valuable plugin with some great features.
Update: We have changed our review to five stars because the developer responded and has moved the verification email to the ProfileGrid Control Panel so it can easily be edited and formatted. Thank you for listening to your users and providing a great solution.
