Hi @srhog,
Thanks for the opinion. However, I will not agree with what you are saying.
The plugin name is “ACF: Better Search”. Read the first paragraph of the description:
"This plugin adds to default WordPress search engine the ability to search by content from selected fields of Advanced Custom Fields plugin."
Focus particular attention to:
"to search by content"
This plugin is completely for something other than you need. I explained it to you.
It allows you to search among the content of ACF fields, rather than doing advanced filters. When you use the s
parameter in WP_Query
.
WordPress only searches by post_title
and post_content
field. This plugin also makes it search for content from ACF fields.
In my opinion, the documentation is sufficient. in the FAQ you have a description of how the plugin works. Since there is no additional information or other documentation there, it means that what is written there is everything the plugin does.

Hey Mateusz
I know, you did explained it and like I said on my review “honestly I don’t think that you’ll find a free plugin that will filter multiple fields” I also said “it seems like a good free plugin for simple ACF searches”.
I’m just rating on my experience trying to figure if it was the right plugin for me… but you’ve been very helpful and it seems that you take your ratings very seriously and I don’t want to mess things for you. I’ll change my review.
Thanks for your help!! 🙂
Hi,
I didn’t write you to change your opinion. If you think I deserve 3 stars, give 3 stars.
I just wanted to explain what you wrote. I care about the high quality of my products.
But I will be honest with you. A lot of people would like a free plugin that does everything, but it can’t be done. Sometimes you have to write the code yourself. I understand that you had to spend your time checking how my plugin works.
Now look at many people who post a thread in the support forum on any of my plugins. I try to help them and most of them won’t even write if my solution has helped them, let alone a simple “thanks”.
And we’re still talking about the plugin for free.

I know, I didn’t wanted to come across as belligerent and I honestly don’t want to mess up thing for your reviews… for a free plugin it’s OK, there are people who charge to do what you’re doing, I do honestly appreciate your help, that’s why I changed my review (not as a favor).
As for people who don’t appreciate you taking time to help, half the people who look for online support think that you owe them something, even if they don’t pay for it (don’t take it personally).
Again and honestly, thanks for your help!!
🙂
Thank you so much for your honesty. Good luck!
