• worked for me fine.
    i’ve a site with wordpress+buddypress.
    and with that , i was able to put my default pic as avatar.
    although, there was a code, in their uninstall.php
    which made me to uninstall the plugin as soon as i can.

    the code was there, to change all the avatars to the black man, if you delete the plugin!
    so i removed that line. (the last 2 lines).
    deactivated , and uninstalled it.

    despite of the fact that they want to force you, not to uninstall the plugin with that code (which is very bad), their plugin did what it was supposed to do well (i cannot deny that ).
