Support » Plugin: PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry » Good plug in, ruined by bugs

  • I’ve been using PowerPress for years now and have never really had a problem with it. However my recent decision to try and get my podcast listed on Google Play brought me into contact with its severe limitations.

Namely: You can’t change any settings. Make all the changes and additions you want, but when you press save you’re taken to your WordPress’ error screen and none of those changes will be saved.

It’s a shame such a good plugin has aged so poorly. I’m in the hunt for a replacement podcast plug in to handle my show.

    Hello @alekseyev,

We appreciate your honesty and feedback. The WordPress error screen may not necessarily be a PowerPress bug but a problem with something else conflicting with PowerPress. I believe in your case we are working with you to find out what the problems are (you contacted me directly by email). We would appreciate the opportunity over the coming days/weeks to help you diagnose the issue you are having.

Anyway 5 stars to these guys, Angelo spent an hour on a screensharing call with me to fix my issue, which he did! Absolutely beyond the call of duty customer support!!!

The WordPress forum system (which covers plugin reviews) only gives you a short time to edit posts without moderator assistance (no one on the Blubrry team is a WordPress forum mod). But, thanks for posting your positive experience as a followup to your original review!
