Good initial effort; will improve with time

This is a solid plugin that works very nicely. It has a nice, intuitive, cleanly designed user interface (UI). It was recently released to the PI repo, and the developer is making tweaks in a short period to improve its performance. I’m using it with a Genesis child theme, and it displays fine. I have a few nits to pick, and my hope is that the developer will address those with time. Desired features:

1) The ability to cut, copy and paste using keyboard commands from within the table, rather than having to go through the function line at the top of the table. This would make copying cells easier without having to move the cursor so much.

2) The ability to allow the contents of one cell to spill over to the adjoining cells (left to right) in one row, without having to enable this feature globally throughout the entire table. When the ‘spill-over’ effect between cells was selected in the admin area of the PI, the entire table was affected and one of the columns became extraordinarily wide.

3) A place within the PI to add CSS classes in order to adjust formatting.

4) The ability to select whether to add columns and rows before or after a highlighted column or row. Default right now is to add a column to the right or row below, regardless of the cell highlighted.

5) The ability to justify the placement of text added to either header or footer (right, center, or left justified). Default seems to be center justified.

6) The ability to adjust color shades to rows or columns using a % saturation level, rather than a blended color picker.

7) The ability to duplicate a table for editing, rather than having to reenter similar data a second time around.

All in all, a fine effort by the developer, especially for a free plugin. Geez ‘o Pete, I couldn’t build anything like this. Glad that its available.
