  • THE BEST plugin for posts, pages and custom taxonomies organization!
    I’ve been looking for something like this to organize my Ultimate Member forms that no other plugin could recognize. This plugin does it beautifully and it works so fast!
    It shows a folder tree of whatever taxonomy it finds on a page (enabled via settings) INSIDE that page, preserving the existing columns and lets you organize virtually anything!

    @billmondei, thanks for the feedback and taking the time to write a review. I completely agree with you that it would be better to have the folders appear on the built-in WordPress page rather than on a separate page. We’re actually in the process of upgrading the UI to integrate the folders into the default pages/posts view and are hoping to roll that out in the next version (hopefully next week).

    As for your other comment about automatically putting items into folders that correspond to your categories, that is also a good idea and another feature we’re planning to add at some point (probably first quarter of 2018 or possibly sooner depending on complexity).

    Thanks again for your comments!

    Cool, thanks for the reply. I actually ended up purchasing a paid plugin, called “WordPress Real Category Management – Custom category term order / Tree view” for $18 that does exactly what I wanted for posts.
    Interestingly enough, I have special custom forms (from Ultimate Member) that I needed to be able to organize and no plugin could achieve that, including that paid one.
    However, when I combined the paid plugin with Wicked Folders – it worked!
    So I’m looking forward to try out your updated version and perhaps will be able to get rid of the paid plugin (I’ll gladly pay for yours, if I could consolidate into one plugin).

    Hi @billmondei, glad to hear you were able to come up with a good solution. I wanted to follow up and let you know that we’ve released a new version of the plugin that integrates the folders directly into the post list pages in the admin. We also added a new type of dynamic folder for categories so you can browse posts by category as well; however, unlike the category management plugin you mentioned, category dynamic folders are currently read-only (i.e. they can’t be renamed or have posts dragged into them). We’ll probably add support for that in the future.

    I’m not sure if our plugin will still be compatible with the other plugin you mentioned since both plugins add folders to the post list pages but, if that’s the case and you still want to use both plugins, you can disable our folder pane by adding the following code to your theme’s functions.php file:

    add_filter( 'wicked_folders_enable_object_folder_pane', '__return_false' );

    That will remove the new folder pane so it will work the same as before which should allow the two plugins to work together if needed.

    Hope this plugin update is helpful to you! Thanks for using our plugin!
