• Hi,

I was looking at the wiki, but couldn’t find a good answer — sorry if this has been run over too many times …

I am putting together a website using WordPress for my girlfriend — she wants an event calendar for future events (she is a performer, wants to put them on the site).

I like the “livecalendar” look and feel, but it doesn’t seem to display future events.

Any suggestions for where I can turn to solve that problem ?

    thanks,
    Damon

What exactly does she want out of the calendar? There’s lots to choose from.

I keep my events on Google Calendar and then use a widget I wrote to display them from there. This lets me manage stuff using their excellent interface and then just have it automatically appear on the blog.

I think she would like to be able to post an event (in an events category) that would include the description and whatnot of the event and posters, pictures, information, and also give her audience a chance to comment on that particular event (upcoming and when it has passed).

The “mini-calendar” would just serve for people to be able to look at June and go: okay, she’s performing on these four days, wonder what and where, and be able to click on the events. Also, to look for past events.
