  • I switched to blog2social after using another plugin for over 2 years. I won’t say their name, but I had upgraded to a paid version in order to get around recent facebook changes that would have required me to do all kinds of set-up activities on my own (like create a facebook developer app complete with screen grabs of how it will be used) to be able to continue to post to facebook. I had a developer install it and right from the start couldnt get their activation key to work. Their response was 10+ days on average and after back and forth 4 times spread over 6 weeks, I gave up in disgust.

The free version of blog2social includes all the apps I want to use – facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest, and linkedin, plus more – which is great. Set-up for each was a very simple process of entering a couple of fields and a few clicks (except for Instagram, for me).

Once set up was complete, posting to these apps is beautifully simple with a one-click share to all.

When I had a problem with Instagram set-up, Blog2Social got back to me in less than 24 hours and pointed me to the solution. From their response wording, it was clear that a real person had read my email and it was a personalized, very human response – which I really appreciated!

My feedback re ways to improve it are these:

    1) Recommend they add to the Instagram set-up process, hard-coded messages or buttons to incorporate their Instagram set-up FAQ steps, ie click to confirm logged out of Instgram on all devices first before proceeding. This would also save them time spent problem-solving. I’m sure the same is true for other apps.

    2) Free version does not store my wording from previous shares for a post. This is an important feature and the main reason why I cannot give 5 stars.

    3) Would like the free version to post to my LinkedIn company page vs my personal profile page (I know this is available in the paid version but I’m not there yet)

    4) Would like option on a per-post basis, to be able to post to one app only vs sharing to all. Possibly this is in the paid version.

    5) Surprised I can’t schedule anything (nothing fancy like different times for different apps) without going to paid version.

On the whole, very pleased. It’s early days but so far (now I’ve got Instagram working) I’m happy with it and would consider upgrading to paid.

Thank you for taking the time to give this great, and detailed feedback, @anitah1!

We are happy you like the plugin so much and every comment helps to improve Blog2Social.

It absolutely makes sense to indicate that the user must log out of all his/her social media accounts before connecting to Blog2Social. We will add your suggestion to our development list.

We also added your suggestion to store your wording from previous shares for a post to our development list.

If you ever have any other suggestions or feature ideas, please get in touch with us by sending an e-mail to customer-service(at)blog2social(dot)com.
