Good foreign language font solution

I have client with several foreign language websites, and I really needed some better font options. Google fonts was the obvious answer, but I tried several plug-ins and none of them worked.

On a whim I tried this one, and -BANG- my Japanese fonts appeared exactly as intended!!! Even better, using CSS I have full font weight control from 100-900, which isn’t even listed in the Google specs!

The only issue I’ve had to far is English brand names in running Japanese copy. This plug in seems to ignore the English characters (just like it says in the plug-in description) and doesn’t apply any of the CSS weight call.

If the English characters would take the same formatting as the foreign font, this would be a 100% winner in my book.

Even so, if you have a site that is heavy in foreign language, Google fonts + this plugin may really save your day.
