• I was forced to change themes for a small charity website as support was withdrawn from the previous theme (Woo Canvas). After a lot of research and experimentation on a staging site, I opted for Blocksy.
It isn’t immediately intuitive how to configure the settings, and there is almost no documentation, but the how-to videos on their website are pretty good, and suddenly it started to make sense. I have been able to replicate pretty closely the existing site using the new theme, and where changes have been made they are generally positive ones.
Best of all, I have encountered a couple of glitches adapting custom CSS to apply to the new theme (that’s the problem with legacy pages built pre-Gutenburg using a page builder), and logged a couple of support tickets. Sergiu has been very quick to respond and very helpful, beyond the call of duty for a free theme.
If you need a flexible theme built around the block editor that seems responsive and good on desktop and mobile alike, give it a try.
