• just downloaded this nextgen gallery together with the public uploader.
So now users can upload images in the correct gallery BUT the gallery itself doesnt seem to work properly.

    What goes wrong:
In the gallery settings inside the WP dashboard, there is a lot of functions for example: Thumbnails with carrousel. There is about 10 options inside the thumbnail configuration but if you change any setting, nothing happens on my site. The gallery doesnt change at all, can’t choose 4 column, or thickbox, or when using the carrousel => page reloads when clicking an image.

Also, I have an error comming from the Fancybox Jquery from this plugin.

@vanhims – Thanks for letting us know you are having an issue with a third-party extension of NextGEN Gallery (we do not do anything with the “public uploader”). It would be really nice to know what NextGEN Gallery alone on your site behaved like.

    Thanks!

Hi, well immediatly after installing the combo of :
    *NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati
    *NextGEN Public Uploader
    I noticed 4 issues.

1st issue: I like most the gallery with one big image which displays the content of the smaller thumbs below it. But, each time I click on another thumb, the page reloads and jumps back to the top of the page.

2nd issue: I check the errors with chrome developer tools and that time I noticed a couple of errors from the add-ons that you included in the package. eg Fancybox etc…

3th: There is a settings page for you plugin, with a lot of toggle bars. But changing the settings here, doesnt change anything at all to my site.

4th: Most problematic issue for me, is when I post a link on facebook or any other site, when people click on it and land on my site, the whole page is empty. Only some css div are with colour. But no text, no images. Maybe the WP loop gets broken cause of a php error or something.

For the moment, I removed your plugins. So I can’t give more data anymore. But if you could fix some errors, I would be happy to reactivate them and try again.

Keep me up to date 🙂

@vanhims – Just following up on some old reviews. As you know this review was written following a major overhaul of the plugin in version 2.0.

I’m not sure if you’ve had a chance to try the plugin, but most of the issues related to that overhaul of the plugin have been long addressed.

Given the current performance of the plugin, a one-star rating seems a bit harsh, and we’re wondering if you might consider revising your rating?

Let us know if you have question. Thanks. (Erick)
