Support » Plugin: WordPress Mega Menu - QuadMenu » Good, but still need decent improvements

  • I use it for my client site. I would rate it 3.5.

The User Interface is very nice and intuitive. It provides you with a bunch of customizations.

Still, there are some issues. Please take this as suggestions to improve the usability of this plugin :).

    There are certain bugs:

    1. Sticky navbar doesn’t work properly. It creates unexpected scrollbar on mobile devices and hides some of its menu items. Eventually, I decided to turn it off and coded it myself to make it sticky.

    2. This is the weirdest of all: the scrollbar on the collapsed submenu container is gone when I visit the site twice since the browser last opened. I have to either hit the save button in Navigation settings or reopen my browser again and it appears. But then if you view it again the second time it disappears. Again, eventually I had to code it myself for handling the overflow. But it still left some marks: sometimes there are two scrollbars that appear, even tho I cannot find any styling that implies overflow addition from QuadMenu. I believe this is because of the inappropriate use of JavaScript.

And there are some important options that are not available:

    1. Caret. Literally no option to change the icon. So weird to have an “x” icon when the navbar is triggered by a hover event, not click/active.

    2. Cannot add a title to the submenu. Eventually, I have to create the widget myself to only make a submenu title. This basic thing should have been handled in the first place.

    3. Cannot add space between each of the menu items and submenu items.

    4. The plugin forces you to use certain fonts. For me it’s unnecessary to have a custom font for navbar, but if it’s necessary then at least give us the option to use an inherited font instead. If you don’t set the font in the input field, then it would output “font-family: 0” because the author didn’t check for an empty field but instead assign the value directly. This result in bad styling and not good for semantic.

Overall, I think I would continue using this plugin for some of my next projects that use Mega Menu with some boilerplate additional custom mui-plugin for handling these things.

That’s all from me I hope you find it useful šŸ™‚ keep up the good work, I hope to see some improvement in the next release!

    amazing! thanks

I purchase the plugin. But accidentally clicked cancel button after 10 minutes of payment. But after 10 minutes I see that the plugin and license are not active in my account. I want the plugin to be reactivated from my account as soon as possible. Otherwise my money should be given back to my account.
