Hi Mike,
It’s very harsh to one-star us for one of the properties of the WordPress scheduler system. It’s WordPress’s scheduler that kicks off backup jobs; if WordPress is never run (i.e. your site is not visited), then WordPress doesn’t kick off scheduled tasks. That’s not the plugin’s fault. *All* plugins that used scheduled tasks will have this issue.
The documentation gives 5 different ways of working around that:

Best wishes,
David
On the contrary, Mike, if your site gets any kind of traffic (or you implement the suggested workarounds mentioned by David) it works AMAZINGLY.
I hope you give it another try.. (heh.. no.. I don’t know the author.. )
And what is the point on backing up a non visited blog?
