    Hello,

At 2 sites want to go back to .webp nextgen as templates there support it 100%

    So far had avif enabled.

If i understood well the documentation, when will pick .webp all old images will be converted to .webp and avif images will remain at hard disk. Of course can delete all .avif images with ssh access using

find . -name “*.avif” -type f -delete , but is there any way to remove from database all .avif entries?

    Thanks!

    Hey @manos2000

When you delete AVIF files and create WebP, it will work out of the box, as Imagify will check which version is available and use that one. There are no entries in database that will stick when you delete files.

Let me know if you need any further assistance, I am happy to help.

    Best Regards
    Marko

Thank you so much for fast reply!

So in the future when avif will be 100% compatible can go back to avif and all images will be converted and served without need to alter something in database?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, you can switch to AVIF at any point of time and it will be served.

    Best Regards,
