    Hi,

I have just installed the translator and it works great. The site is made in Danish language and I can translate to any language with no problem.

The problem is when I decide to translate back to Danish, which results in a terrible translation.

The site can be seen at: http://gemba.8ideas.dk

Is it possible to disable the translation of the site’s original language so that when I select Danish from another language I will not get that proble? Or in the works case I guess an alternative is to hardcode not to translate when Danish is selected.

At last, after I select Danish and I get the terrible translation, if I refresh the page, everything looks OK.

I will be looking forward to a way to solve this.

    AB,
    Max

Hi Max76, I see the issue here. I can fix this for you.

Google Translate is automated, and even though you are telling it which language to display, sometimes it gets confused with certain words on your website that might be available in another language. In this case, your top menu is somehow not exact in matching Google’s Danish version of the words you are wanting to use.

This issue can be fixed by providing different text for those affected menu items. You will need text that Google is wanting for it’s automated translation from Danish to English. You can find common translations that might work better by going to http://translate.google.com, and then trying to translate your menu item there, to see what might be a better fit for Google to recognize your language.

I can also do this for you if needed. I would need you to setup a new user and password with admin rights, so that I can help. You can send any info to this email address through the contact form:

Thanks so much – I look forward to helping you!
