• A simple wordpress site of maybe a dozen pager using a genesis studiopress theme. Everything was fine so I moved on to my next project. Bought a new domain name just for a sandbox and installed the new wordpress 4.1 and then the genesis theme, a child theme. On Dec. 23rd the backend started really bogging down. Long troubleshooting effort on my own… uninstall wordpress, reinstall wordpress… finally calling godaddy support who disabled one domain at a time (there are only two) to see if any are causing the problem. On the phone with godaddy tech support we tried disabling both one at a time to see if it would free the backend on the other, the new website and my first website, jacksonvillebudgetmovers.com. Both unmanageably slow on the backend. jacksonvillebudgetmovers seems ok on the front end… at least I hope so because its functionality is important in supporting a family.

Three days of godaddy tech support and no progress. disables all plugins… uninstalled wordpress on the new site, restored a backup from a known good configuration to jacksonvillebudgetmovers… I’m about to give up and try other hosting. I told godaddy billing about it and they said they would gladly refund my hosting dollars and I could go somewhere else. Should I? Anyone else having a problem with godaddys wordpress hosting?
