I need help. Godaddy moved my websites to a newer server and now a few of my websites are down and reporting the error below. How do I resolve this?

    Website is http://carewellnesscenter.com

Warning: require(/home/content/r/j/h/rjh1214/html/carewell/wp-includes/load.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/r/j/h/rjh1214/html/carewell/wp-settings.php on line 21

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/content/r/j/h/rjh1214/html/carewell/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/r/j/h/rjh1214/html/carewell/wp-settings.php on line 21

Any help would be appreciated. Godaddy says the error is in one of my files but the site was working perfectly before the migration. Other sites were moved and are working fine.

    Thanks

Based on the error alone, it sounds like one or more files were missed during the transfer.

Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Okay thanks. I did this to one of the sites… acupunctureforinfertility.net… that had the same error message.

I got the white screen of death but I was able to log on to the admin panel. I changed to the default theme and the website worked. I reinstalled the theme I had been using but I lost all images and plugins. Text content was still there.

How do I recover the images? From what file would I have to re upload from my backups?

Thank you again for your help.

Godaddy had me up date to wordpress 4.7 via their applications panel. I did not do it manually as you first suggested. Should I try it again via the file manager and replace my copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download?

I was on the phone with godaddy support for over 2 hours today and got absolutely nowhere

If you re-upload your backup of the theme’s directory, does the site crash again?
