I successfully started using UpdraftPlus for one GoDaddy hosted website since BackupBuddy was failing and it worked great but for some reason this site dividedwefall-movie.com is not having the same luck. Destination is DropBox.

Here is the most recent log:
And previous ones one and two

This morning I started out by refreshing the settings. Reauthorized Dropbox and lowered the Split Archives to 200MB.

Last log message this time is: “Adding batch to zip file (UpdraftPlus_ZipArchive): over 500 files added on this batch (62.7 MB, 1578 files batched, 501 (501) added so far); re-opening (prior size: 31963.3 KB) (Sep 27 09:26:22)”

Nothing was added to the error_log since 9/14.

Are there other settings I can try?

    Thanks

    Hi,

From the log, it appears that you are receiving a ‘ Binary zip: error (code: 9)’ when UpdraftPlus is attempting to zip parts of the site.

This error means that the zipping process was aborted early. Could you contact your hosts and ask them if there is any thing on the server that would cause this?

Could you also try reducing the split size down to 50MB and attempting another backup? This may make the zipping process fast enough to come under whatever time limit is being imposed (as UpdraftPlus will use smaller zipping batches).

Thought I’d follow up even though this was some time ago – we moved web hosts. All is well.
