• Hello all:

I’ve recently *tried* to move my WordPress installation from my old hosting provider to GoDaddy.
The reason why I chose it, is price of course.

It was hard to import the DB, but definitely i got it.

Problem comes because I’d like to use utf-8 instead of iso-8559-1 (like i was doing before).

I found a script looking in this forum, called ‘convert-encoding.php’ but it showed errors that didn’t appeared in my old hosting.
I think it’s due to the mysql version…

Anyone knows if mysql40 is not utf-8 compatible?

If not… Why a new installation of wordpress works wonders with utf-8?

    Thanks you in advantage,

    Misósofos
