Hi
Thanks for reaching out.
Not too long ago Gmail and Yahoo changed the way they evaluate emails to help cut down on spam. Most of the changes are designed to target bulk mailers, but they can also affect WordPress sites sending out transactional emails like yours. You may need to add the From address to help with this.
Please note : You will need to make sure that Dev Mode is enabled. If you need to turn it on, see this article: https://ninjaforms.com/blog/unlock-advanced-ninja-forms-features/
If you have to enabled it, refresh the form builder after you save the settings page. Dev mode will open up new Advanced settings in your Email actions.
The From Address is different from the Reply To address, which can be set to anything. The From Address needs to be an email from the same domain the form is on. It’s a good idea to use a valid email address for the From Address.
Try adding that to your form and see if that helps. If you have further questions about this, please reach out to us via our contact form for support. We’ll be happy to help.
Don’t forget to include a System Status report and an exported copy of the form having issues.
Thanks!
Mia
Thank you for the reply! It makes sense to use a From field. Unfortunately, the instructions don’t seem to match what I see. We have Ninja Forms version 3.14.1
- There is a Form Builder “Dev Mode” checkbox, which was already checked.
- There is an Advanced option, but it is not in the Emails and Actions functions, but is available in the horizontal navigation with Form Fields and Emails & Actions.
I figured out why I wasn’t seeing the Advanced option in Specific Form -> Emails & Actions -> Email to Viewer.
1. It’s in the panel on the right side
2. It’s below Attach CSV – if you can see it
3. The problem is that the scroll bar for that section doesn’t show unless you click that panel and arrow down. Then the scroll bar shows, but you may already see Advanced from arrowing down.
