Support » Fixing WordPress » global wp-admin blankpage!!

  • This is totally weird. All the wp installations are displaying just fine on the front end, BUT every single dashboard is inaccessible, every wordpress installation, after inserting login credentials return a blank page, this have nothing to do with wp files errors since the files are all new and clean like the databases.

This might be a mysql or apache problem, but I don’t know where to look, this happened out of the blue and I don’t recall having done any kind of modification before this started happening!

  • How many installations do you have? How’re the related?

Have you added any plugins etc?

they are on the same vps, using same apache and mysql, there is no plugin on them, after finishing the process to create the wp-config file, trying to login with admin credentials result in a blank page,

And this is happening on all your sites on the VPS? It looks like its a problem with how your VPS is set up.

yeah but it happened without I touched anything, a few days ago it was working fine, I have noticed I get a segmentation fault 11 everytime I try to login, and coredump for segmentation faults I get this:
    0x00002ae56dc22b50 in zend_hash_num_elements () from /usr/lib/apache2/modules/
But I don’t know how to fix this I reinstalled apache and php but no results. How can I even get a segmentation fault from trying to log in on a new wordpress installation???

Are you sure there were no changes? I’ve fixed things like this by increasing php’s memory limit but without more info its hard to tell, for me at least. Maybe someone else can chime in.

i may have tried to install ioncube, but i removed any reference to it from php, it may have left some bugs i don’t know…all i get is that gdb log that tells nothing, i might as well do a reinstall on the vps, better than walking in the dark guessing

hmm it may have messed up your WordPress files. Maybe try uploading a fresh copy of WordPress, replacing all the files to one of your WordPress installs?

no way, I have already said it happens on every installation of wordpress with new files and new databases
