[Global Content Blocks] JShortcodes NOT Working in Content Blocks

  • lbrown2

    @lbrown2

    I have attempted to use Shortcodes within a Content Block using the Global Content Blocks plugin. Instead of the Shortcodes working properly they appear as normal text within the body of the Content Block. The Content Block is an HTML Block containing the HTML code w/Shortcodes linked to below. I have no problem getting the code to work outside of the Content Block. Only when this same code is put into a Content Block does the Shortcode stop working.

    My question is: Is there a work-around to fix this or is there another plugin that does not encounter this issue?

    Here is the Visual (Shortcodes) and HTML code & the problem:

    HTML w/ Shortcodes highlighted: http://pastebin.com/CrzPLzEW
    Visual w/ Shortcodes highlighted: http://pastebin.com/32yHzmrf
    Content Block (Preview) w/ Shortcodes exposed: http://pastebin.com/dNBtmNeL
    —>Notice the Content Block looks just like the Visual (with codes exposed)

  • I guess it’s due to order in which WP interprets the shortcodes. Can you try using your shortcode on its own, then copy the full code that it generates and put this into a Global Content Block?

    FYI, the new version (1.4) of the plugin has been updated on the repository and includes this feature. Just put your shortcode in a content block and it should work.

    Please feel free to give the plugin a rating at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/global-content-blocks/.

    Thanks,
    Benz1
