Support » Plugin: IBM Watson Assistant » Glitch: Message prompt not visible on android phone

  • Resolved AlwaysEnthusiast

    I noticed that the bottom row for the message prompt is not visible on my android phone. Sometimes it does not show up and other times it flickers for a second before disappearing. This has worked well with previous versions of the Watson plugin so this has appeared recently (not sure when).

    This plugin works well otherwise.

    Here it happened to me too. I thought it was a problem of my theme and I disabled the chatbot provisionally and did not have time to search on another topic.

    So, I’ll wait for the fix to activate chatbot.

    By the website is normal, but I have the chatbot in a link in an app for Android and then that gave problem.

    Hi Support,
    Any progress in fixing the glitch making the plugin useless for mobile phone users? (the plugin works well otherwise).
    Kind regards

    Here I unfortunately had to disable chatbot. The plugin is very good, but since it stopped working on the smartphone I had no other choice 🙁

    In my android phone (with Chrome for android) 60-70% of the bottom row for the message prompt is now visible but not 100%. This means the text is cut off. I tested another browser in my Android phone and it was the same. This works but does not look nice. Can you adjust this a bit more?

    Hello @alwaysenthusiast.

    To solve this problem we need extended information:

    • phone model;
    • android version;
    • chome version;
    • another browser.

    Thank you.

    Phone: Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus Edge
    Android version: 7.0

    Browsers on the phone having this problem:
    Chrome version: 76.0.3809.89
    F-Secure Safe browser

    Browser on the phone without this problem:
    Samsung Internet

    Hence, it seems to be a clash between your plugin and some browsers but not all of them. However, Chrome for android is likely to be a common browser.

    We are looking into it.

    Hello.

    In mine too, appears almost 80% the field to type, is still cutting the field.

    I also use Android.

    Hi,

    As far as I can see the problem remains unchanged after upgrading to version 0.8.14 of the plugin.

    Browsers on the phone having this problem:
    Chrome version: 76.0.3809.132
    F-Secure Safe browser

    Browser on the phone without this problem:
    Samsung Internet

    I restarted the phone to see if that made any change but it din’t. Thanks for trying. I would appreciate if you can try again to fix the problem.
