• im sick of people making a useful plugin, charging money for it and then deciding to significantly compromise the features in a free version and then release that to the WordPress repository.

the presence of this plugin in the free WordPress plugin repository is nothing more than an advertising tactic, the author has no intention of releasing a useful plugin for free.

The author has purposely removed all the useful features from the free version and forces anyone who wants to use those features to pay money without testing first. good luck with that.

and the author has the audacity to place a Donate to this plugin button on the page.

msb006, why don’t you release your plugin for free and then add even more features to it, and then charge for those features?

you need a reputation of producing quality products before i’m going to buy anything off of you, and you have failed to accomplish that using this plugin.

I am sorry to hear this. It sounds like you have had bad experiences with other plugins in the past but if you follow the instructions on this free version WP Webapp works perfectly. Yes, the premium version has added functionality which allows you to upload images right in the settings page, but I and many others have used the free version exclusively with great success.

msb006 is the Author of this plugin, so clearly his comments are biased. Actually i haven’t had many problems with plugins in the past, and I generally attribute that to avoiding plugins like this.

the problem with WP Webapp is not that it fails to perform. the problem with WP Webapp is that the it has no useful features, you must purchase the Webapp Pro version if you wish to use any feature that is even mildly useful.

this plugin sets you up and then lets you down.

I recommend finding a tutorial that explains how to place ios and android splash screen icons in place for your website so that when you save your website as a webapp favourite bookmark on the home screen of your iphone or android, that it will display a nice icon, and when the app loads it will display a nice splash screen. You can accomplish this easily with a few lines of code and uploading your icons and splash screen with FTP. this plugin will not do all of this for you, so a simple 10 minute tutorial that runs you through it with ease will be much more worthwhile than this plugin.

Downloading this plugin will only get you half way there, i recommend finding and following a good tutorial, dont give money to this plugin.
