I had to disable this plugin because it caused random white screens, without any output, without errors, or debug information of any kind.

It happened both in the frontend and in the wp-admin, when loading any kind of page, saving a post, listing pages, saving menus, etc. In average, every 5-7 times I performed any operation that loaded a page, it just returned a white page.

I spent a long time enabling and disabling plugins until I confirmed it was this one the culprit. It happened in 4.01 and also in 4. I’m sorry I can’t give more useful information. This is all I have.

    Thank you

Do you get a white screen with one of the default themes?

Hi. Despite my previous conviction, after more tests it ended up being not this plugin the culprit but some options insde ithemes security. The thing is when this plugin was also activated the errors where much more frequent, hence the confusion. And answering your question, yes, it happened with the default twenti* themes activated. I’m marking it as resolved. Thank you for your time.

I’m sorry to restart this thread, but I have the same problem as Jose and am VERY interested in which option in iThemeSecurity was producing the white screens. I don’t know how to contact jose directly – do I hope he checks back here.

    Thanks!

Well I don’t know exactly which option was, but I’m pretty sure it was one of these:

    – Default Blacklist
    – Ban users
    – iThemes Brute Force Network Protection (<my favorite candidate)
    – Schedule Database Backups

If you confirm the culprit please report back. Thanks
