    Hi!

We have a gift card for 100€ and in the system we introduce the product price without taxes, that means it’s 82,6446. the tax applied is 21%.

We’ve created a coupon code for 100€ but when we applied it, there’s a 0,01€ difference. The cause is that once the price is saved as gift card it only keeps 2 decimals instead of 4, that makes that the coupon applied is 99,99€.

So the issue is that when we include 82,6446 then the gift card price is 100€ but the coupon discount 99,99 because it’s calculated using only 82,64. If we change it and we introduce 82,645, then the subtotal is wrong, it’s 100,01 because the system store 82,65€. It’s a little bit wired how it’s done the calculation.

    Hi there,
hope you are doing well! 🙂

The number of decimals on the price is managed directly by the WooCommerce settings, so in your case, you can add more decimals to get the correct calculation. You can find the option to change the decimals in “WooCommerce > Settings > General > Currency options > Number of decimals

Another solution is to configure the gift card product as no taxable, so you can add the desired price directly in the gift card amount. It’s also the correct way to configure it, as the customer will pay later the taxes when purchases a product.

If you have any doubt let us know and we will be happy to help you.

    Have a nice day!
