    Hi @gglize

I see that you have another image optimization tool here as well:

To rule out that as a cause of this issue, could you please disable that while we troubleshoot?

Let us know when you have done that and we can take another look.

Additionally, looking at the 4th example, we are trying to access an image that no longer exists on your server:

Did you delete some image size variations? In order for Site Accelerator to cache images, they must be accessible on your server.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your feedback!

I deactivated the WP Compress image optimizer extension and I also unchecked the CDN compatibility from the WP Super Cache extension. Is that ok now or are you still seeing any “conflict” that may make our troubleshooting complicated?

As for the 4th example file, I can confirm you I haven’t deleted any file or size variations since I created this support thread.

    Thanks,

    Gaétane

    Hi @gglize

Thanks for removing the other CDN. That will help us isolate the problem.

As for the 4th example file, I can confirm you I haven’t deleted any file or size variations since I created this support thread.

It looks like it was an issue with the other CDN.

I tested this some more and looked into it and it is related to the way WordPress generates thumbnail variations and the image processing libraries on your web server. Depending on the image library used on the server, and depending on the way the .gif is built, it may happen that the animation disappears on resize, as you’ve experienced.

There is a WordPress ticket for it here:

    https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/28474

At this time, there isn’t a good solution for this. I’d probably recommend uploading animated files like this as videos as they will be smaller and more performant than GIFs.
