    Hi guys,

We recently moved our website from Joomla to wordpress and we are using Google’s webmaster tools to scan the site for errors. There are tons of odd 404 errors that shows up where the URL’s seem to be generating as an extension to the parent folder rather than the root domain. For example:

    http://www.mysocialagency.com/date/2012/06/social-media/digital-marketing-saturday-social-issue-11

    is being picked up from:

    http://www.mysocialagency.com/date/2012/06/

So it looks like the link is being written dynamically as ‘social-media/digital-marketing-saturday-social-issue-11’ rather than being expressed in full as ‘http://www.mysocialagency.com/social-media/digital-marketing-saturday-social-issue-11’

But the real problem is that we are using absolute URLs. I checked this very post and confirmed that’s the case. And we can’t recreate the mentioned broken link by visiting the archive pages.

It’s a weird one for sure.

    Any ideas?
