Support » Plugin: Download Monitor » GF Lock Add-On – Title Merge Tag instead of File ID

    Hello,

    We have been using the Download Lock add-on. It comes with a merge tag:

    {Download Monitor – Gravity Forms Lock:5}

    This is relatively useless..to include the ID of the associated PDF. Much more valuable would be the title of the Download or even the file name. Anything would be better.

    Is there an easy way to get the title or filename put into confirmation messages?

    Hey everyone…in the meantime, I figured out a solution to this, so I’m posting in case useful to everyone else. I wasn’t aware you could use shortcodes in GF confirmations, so I combined the given merge tag’s ID value with the download monitor shortcode to provide the title:

    [download_data id=”{Download Monitor – Gravity Forms Lock:5}” data=”title”]

    Great success.

    Hey @watermelonkid,

    That’s awesome! We didn’t know this was possible either, I’ll add this to the documentation page!

    Kind Regards,
