GF 2.0.1 Breaks plugin causing FATAL ERROR | WordPress.org

The recent update to GF 2.0.1 causes a Fatal Error with the following Message.

Fatal Error (E_COMPILE_ERROR): Access level to Plugify_GForm_Braintree::authorize() must be public (as in class GFPaymentAddOn) occurred in wp-content/plugins/gravity-forms-braintree/lib/class.plugify-gform-braintree.php on line 311. Please make sure that your website is accessible.

The only way to recover is to remove the BT Add-on or revert to GF 1.9.19

I reported this issue to Gravity Forms and this is their response:

Hi Thomas,

We do have this on the add-on request list but a third-party add-on already existing makes it a very low priority. As far as we know that add-on was recently taken over by Gravityplus.pro so they are probably in the early stages of planning an update.

As a nod to “Thirsty Jon”

I was able to regain usage of the plugin with modification.

– gravity-forms-braintree/lib/class.plugify-gform-braintree.php

– I Changed Line 64 from “protected function authorize” to “public function authorize”

This is working for now hopefully developer will update this soon as this is the ONLY add-on that work with GF and Braintree.

I can confirm that Thomas’s modification to line 64 in gravity-forms-braintree/lib/class.plugify-gform-braintree.php allows the plugin to be activated upon a fresh install.
